Our Commitment
Privacy is not just a policy for us — it's a core principle. We built ARCANE with the belief that your personal reflections, questions, and readings belong to you alone. In a world where data is often exploited, we chose a different path: collect as little as possible, protect what we must, and never monetize your trust.
Information We Collect
We collect minimal, anonymized analytics data to improve our service. This includes general usage patterns and crash reports. This data cannot be traced back to you personally.
Your reading history, preferences, and all personal content are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data.
How We Use Your Information
Anonymized analytics are used solely to improve app performance and user experience. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data in any way.
Third-Party Services
We use Amazon Web Services (AWS) for server processing and request management. All requests to AI providers are encrypted and anonymized — we cannot trace requests to individual users.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information.
Data Storage
Your readings and preferences remain on your device — where they belong. We intentionally chose not to use cloud storage for personal content because we believe your spiritual journey is yours alone. Reinstalling the app will reset all local data.
Advertising
ARCANE does not display advertisements. We will never interrupt your experience with ads or sell your attention to third parties.
Age Requirements
ARCANE is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your Rights (California Residents)
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt-out of sale. Since we collect only anonymized analytics and do not sell data, these rights are inherently respected.
Privacy by Design
Every architectural decision in ARCANE prioritizes your privacy. From encrypted communications to local-only storage, we designed the app so that even we cannot access your personal content. Your readings stay between you and the cards.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. Continued use of ARCANE after changes constitutes acceptance.
